So, after a teeny tiny flight down to Heathrow i checked onto my flight, hallelujah, i was so worried they weren't going to let me on after the whole mis-spelt middle name (No I'm not a Lousie i am a Louise. Sighs.) So they let me on board and i flew from Heathrow on Wednesday (20th June) sat next to a lovely girl called Nicole, thankfully she wasn't a murderer or drugs mule. I was met by my lovely Mary Beth and her Dad Fred and Papaw, we then drove back to Knoxville which was roughly a 4 hour drive and stopped off at a Chilis restaurant to eat, I had my first American burger and my days it tasted so good! Not my finest photo but it was exciting.
After a good nights sleep MaryBeth took me too Walmart and all sorts of HUGE stores, and we went to the Mall to the Disney Store and I got myself my new pair of Converse, and we had lunch at a real American Starbucks, which was amazing, I tried Turkey bacon which tasted so much better than English Bacon. I think Starbucks could actually one day bankrupt me. Friday was a good day. We had an amazing Ravioli Lasagne dinner with all the family; and I have come to the conclusion Red Wine is a good thing; much to MB's approval!
Today we had a nice walk in the nearby park, and then went to lunch with Beth (MBs Mom, Mamaw her Grandmother and a wonderful lady called Patti) Patti is going to be one of the ladies I will be interviewing for my Dissertation she told me some brilliant stories already about the 1920s and growing up in NYC, she was so sweet and gave me a lovely flower she had picked from her garden. After lunch we went exploring Knoxville city centre and climbed up the Sun Sphere which MB cleverly informed me was part of the World Trade Fair in 1982; and to round off the afternoon a drive thru Starbucks with Iced Coffee to cool off was an excellent idea.
Tonight off to the Cinema to see Brave in preparation for Disney World on Monday- so excited and then do more adventures around Knoxville, after Disney we'll be off seeing Nashville and Dollywood! So far America is pretty awesome damn good.
